Have you been attending random studio classes, and noticed little progression?

Perhaps you have heard it said that Yoga is so much more than movement, and you want to know how. Maybe you are looking to cultivate a practice that will assist your life.

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. As a student, I attended thousands of group classes. Whilst the sense of community was a delight, and the collective movement was so energizing, I started to discover that there was way more to Yoga that could be understood and practised in only 60 minute weekly group lessons.

I believe that every individual deserves personalised support and dedication in order to find their light when comes to the practice. Sessions can take place in a yoga studio, at home, or even online.

Most importantly, a 1-1 tailored program is a chance for you to connect with yourself and explore your journey with Yoga. So take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy the ride!

The Journey

1. Initial Consultation

In your initial consultation, we will review together your history, any previous injury, or chronic pain you experience, your yoga experience, goals and abilities. We will discuss what you want to work on, be it strength and postural stability or flexibility and relaxing, or perhaps a specific pose or yoga skills.

2. Expectations

We will identify your expectations and what you would like to get from the 1-1 Bespoke Plan. This will allow me to know how to support you in your Journey.

3. Planning

Once we uncover your why, we will then plan in detail the best path forward for success. Through learning your areas of strength, and areas of improvement and knowing your goals and desires, I will then able to create an individualised program tailored specifically for you.

4. Tailoring

This is all about building your 1-1 Bespoke Plan. I design it specifically for you in a way that allows you to focus on the areas you would like to work on so that you get the most out of each session. The structure and experience of the class will be guided by your personal preferences and desires. Some clients wish to have a more spiritually aligned practice, while others are drawn to the physical practice of yoga, and some would like a balance between the two. This preference will determine any meditation, pranayama, mantras, etc. that I will include in the session. The individual classes are carefully and intentionally composed to create a sequence based on your level and abilities.

5. Intelligent Sessions

Every session offers the opportunity to have a yoga practice that is just for you. Each class is designed specifically around the areas you most want to focus on and addresses your goals. Each private will be carefully planned according to your individual needs and desires. The entire class should be a well-thought-through, balanced from beginning to end to create a cohesive experience rooted in your individual practice. Expect an uninterrupted, private setting. Where you can feel comfortable asking questions freely and exploring different aspects of yoga at your pace. During your session, I will be paying attention to your movement patterns, observing your range of motion, limitations and compensations. By doing this, we can identify what areas we need to focus on strengthening, stabilising, stretching and mobilising. You will also receive frequent assists and adjustments.

6. Follow up

Finally, I will offer you advice on how to integrate these new skills into everyday life and how to use yoga for self-care. This gives you a better understanding of the practice and more confidence as you continue your journey with yoga. Iwill help you create a safe, effective and enjoyable home practice sequence and drills to do between your sessions.
